At first we asked for the best just for ourselves. Then our friends signed on! This project started out as a one-of-a-kind custom designed, best of the best survival set for us. We do a lot of private flying over the trackless wilderness of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountains of the American West. As a pilot, forced landings are always in the back of your mind, so we asked Master Polyak to design for us a compact, ready-for-anything hatchet and knife combo.

We mentioned the idea to a friend who leads wilderness expeditions world wide He also wanted one with a few modifications thrown in. Soon, some long range cruising friends signed on and quite a few serious hunter acquaintances made some suggestions of what THEY wanted. The results were too good not to share with you. So, for the first time, we are proud to offer Accent Knives Carpathian Survival, Hunting and Expedition Set to our customers. Here are the details:

	Knife: For survival and expedition use, the six inch hand ground blade will fell saplings, sharpen stakes, cut lines, splice sheets, free props and slice aircraft metal without missing a beat. As the ultimate hunting knife it will easily field dress large game, make blinds in no time flat and prove indispensable in camp.
	The one piece stag antler handles provide a firm grip even when covered with blood, mud or slime. Solid brass quillion (hand guard) keeps tired, slippery and frozen hands away from the blade.
	Hatchet: Where the knife reaches its limits the hatchet takes over. In an emergency use it to break glass, cut thorough metal, wood or fiberglass. Chop through ice. In camp it will help with the firewood and on the hunt it will easily cut up game to pack out.
	Made from a single bar of stainless, it is indestructible. The bar is ground to a taper from the but to the head for smooth power transfer. The handles are extra large, single piece stag horn for a secure grip. Machined brass hilt protects the hand. The balance is excellent for extended fatigue free use.
	The set comes in a leather expedition holster for easily hanging from belt, backpack, rucksack or a hook in the cabin. For stowing in a boat, plane or other vehicle, we strongly suggest the optional zippered leather case.

Let us be honest. At this price, our Carpathian Survival Set is not for everyone. Which is a good thing, as due to the incredible amount of time and handwork that goes into this set, Master Polyák can only make about ten sets a month. However; if you are one of the very few who can afford and appreciate the very best, or if your survival might one day truly depend on having the right gear, then you owe it to yourself to personally examine this very special and unique set.
